Job Search Mentor -
1-month commitment, ~1 hour/week
Our new refugee neighbors desire to get connected with jobs that will help them stably support their family. However, limited network connections, lack of reliable transportation, and limited knowledge and experience of our culture nuances in the job search process can be obstacles to obtaining adequate employment.
Job Search Mentors will provide support to our new neighbors through activities that develop employment related skills and English conversation skills. Job Search Mentors will benefit by making a new friend, learning about another culture, and the satisfaction of teaching tangible skills that positively impact the employment trajectory of their new friend’s life.
