Why This Matters
This park has extremely high biodiversity and is home to unique and rare species and landscape features. The new technique of Critical Period Cutting, allows us to control buckthorn without causing non-target damage and preserving the integrity of the site features.
No Experience Needed
All training will be provided on-site. No prior knowledge is necessary!
Note: this is less of a family friendly event and more of an advanced volunteer event. Some volunteers may be asked to park at the public entrance and walk in (an extra half mile of hiking) We will walk across uneven terrain that can be very steep, slippery and thick with vegetation at times.
There will NOT be a sanitation facility (port-a-potty) available on site.
