Who We Are

VINE was established in February of 1995.  Our goal is to help older adults remain independent and living in their own homes for as long as possible.  

Our mission is:

VINE is redefining aging and promoting the wellbeing of aging adults through programming, services, and community engagement. 

What We Do

VINE assists people living in their own homes or apartments maintain their independence for as long as possible by providing non-medical assistance with daily activities.  Our core programs include:

  • Caring Connection
  • Hot Meals on Wheels
  • Chores
  • Transportation
  • PEARLS - depression coaching
  • Special Access Programming - helping older new Americans and refugees access services
  • Support for Caregivers - caregiver consulting, support, and education

VINE Adult Community Center (VACC)

The VACC, an adult community center under VINE's management, engages adults in mid life and beyond.  There are opportunities to play cards, line dance with the VINE Stompers, harmonize with the VINE Singers or VINE Garage Band, play table tennis and pool, go on local and out of town trips (offered in collaboration with Community Education), attend lectures and special programs, participate in book clubs, etc.  The VINE Adult Community Center also offers state of the art HUR Fitness machines and  a variety of different group exercise classes; Tai Chi, water exercise, balance and mobility, Cardio Strength, etc. to help keep people physically healthy. 

VINE Home Thrift Store

The VINE Home Thrift Store provides a variety of household goods including, furniture, kitchen and bathroom items, books, artwork, lighting, etc. all at reasonable prices.  All the proceeds from the store go to support VINE's programs and services.
