Who We Are
We are the regions no-kill animal shelter. BENCHS has been in operation since 1969. Our mission is to find loving forever homes for homeless cats and dogs, use spay/neuter programs to reduce the number of unwanted pets, and reunite lost/found animals with their owners
What We Do
We rescue injured and abandoned cats and dogs, restore them to health and prepare them to find homes with a new family. We also provide food share programs for people who are unable to provide food for their pet. Families who are no longer able to keep their pet can apply to surrender their pet to BENCHS. We also serve as the official impound for Mankato, North Mankato and Madison Lake.
