Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice Mankato is a not-for-profit hospice that provides home-based, family-centered care for individuals of any age facing a terminal illness. Hospice recognizes dying as part of the normal process of living and affirms life.
When hospice care becomes the treatment of choice, patient care shifts to support and comfort. The primary focus becomes living as fully and as comfortably as possible.

Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice Mankato is a supportive residential-based service committed to
- Compassionate care that respects patient's and caregivers' dignity and needs in patient's residence (home, long term care, hospital, or residential group homes.
- An interdisciplinary team approach to meet patient's physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs
- Using proven best-practice interventions to promote comfort and relieve pain
- Accompanying patient and caregivers through end-of-life care and death
- Providing individualized bereavement support for caregivers and family.
Mayo Clinic Healthcare System Hospice is Medicare-licensed and provides services to anyone with a terminal illness who lives in Blue Earth, Nicollet, Le Sueur, Waseca, Sibley, Watonwan, Martin, and Faribault counties.
Volunteers are a vital part of the team who offer services such as companionship, socialization, light housekeeping, caregiver respite, light meal preparation, and office tasks.
