Who We Are
Volunteer Role
Our programs teach students about entrepreneurship, money management, and provide them with the skills needed to succeed in school and beyond. Our curriculum helps students better understand what it means to be a responsible citizen, consumer and worker. JA Classroom volunteers will deliver JA lessons to nearly 8,000 students this school year. JA’s K-12 programs are interactive and hands-on, making it easy for volunteers to teach and fun for students to learn. We will work with you to select the ideal school and/or grade level opportunity that works with your schedule, and provide all the training and materials you’ll need to be prepared.
Volunteer Time Commitment
- Volunteers visit the classroom on five separate occasions, 40 minutes per visit. Pre-classroom preparation is also required to familiarize the volunteer with the curriculum and organize/prepare the kit materials (approximately 4 hours)
Next Steps
- Identify your preferences - grade level (K-12); schedule; or school(s)
- Let us know your preferences by completing our JA Volunteer Registration Form.
- Once we receive your registration form, a JA staff member will contact you to discuss specific opportunities that match your preferences.
