HMC is always searching for volunteers to teach our consumers new skills and hobbies in a group or house setting. 1A) Volunteers will primarily participate in leisure and recreational activities with one specific site. Hours of service are generally between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. All hours must take place when a Site Supervisor is present. Volunteers should plan on coming for at least 2-hour time slots unless other arrangements have been made with the Site Supervisor. Examples of activities include: card making, scrapbooking, game night, movies, painting & craft club, walks, and music/karaoke, Wii, crafts and sewing, outdoor activities and special events. 1B) Volunteer to work with an artistic individual during Craft Club which is the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Prefer a volunteer with an interest in a wide variety of crafts and artistic areas(i.e.: watercolor,photography, painting,sketching, latch hook, scrapbooking, knitting/crocheting).
